Interactive Communication Assessment

The Interactive Communication Assessment is a self-evaluation tool designed for you to assess your current communication style and identify areas for improvement. Through a series of statements rated on a scale from 1 to 5, you can gain insights into your strengths and weaknesses in various aspects of communication, such as clarity, active listening, nonverbal cues, empathy, feedback reception, conflict resolution, adaptability, and engagement.

What It Is Useful For:

Interactive Communication Assessment

Purpose:

To help you evaluate your current communication style, identify strengths, and highlight areas for improvement in their leadership communication skills.


Instructions:

  • Rate each statement on a scale of 1 to 5, where:
    • 1 = Strongly Disagree
    • 2 = Disagree
    • 3 = Neutral
    • 4 = Agree
    • 5 = Strongly Agree

Assessment Statements:

  1. Clarity and Conciseness:
    • I express my thoughts clearly and concisely.
    • I avoid using jargon or technical language when it’s unnecessary.

Scoring:

  • Scoring Range:
    • 8-16: Needs Improvement - Your communication style may benefit from significant development. Focus on foundational skills such as clarity, active listening, and empathy.
    • 17-24: Developing Skills - You have a basic understanding of effective communication but may struggle in some areas. Identify specific skills to work on.
    • 25-32: Proficient Communicator - You demonstrate strong communication skills and effectively engage with others. Continue to refine your abilities and seek feedback.
    • 33-40: Effective Leader - You excel in communication and can adapt to different situations and audiences. Share your strategies with others and consider mentoring those who may need support.
